The ministry of finance proposed that the central government finance fund set up the national scholarship for postgraduates to reward full-time postgraduates with outstanding performance in ordinary institutions of higher learning (hereinafter referred to as "institutions of higher learning").
The notice stipulates that all eligible full-time research students for master's and doctor's degrees will be eligible for review once a year.
Institutions of higher learning will give the national scholarship for graduate students in a lump sum before November 30 each year, according to the notice. Institutions of higher learning shall record the national scholarship awarded to postgraduates in their student status files.
The national scholarship has been offered for two years
It is understood that the national medium - and long-term education reform and development program outline (2010-2020) in 2010 has put forward the requirement of establishing national scholarship for postgraduates.
